3 Way Solenoid   : a valve in espresso machines that releases pressure from the group head into the drip tray after brewing
Affogato   : gelato topped off with espresso.
Alcohol   : a liquid produced by the fermentation of sugar substances through yeast
Aperitif   : an alcoholic drink served before a meal to stimulate the appetite
Bar   : A counter across which alcoholic drinks or refreshments are served, or an establishment where alcohol is served
BAR   : 100 kilopascals of pressure, a common measurement used in espresso machine boilers
Barista   : Italian word for bartender, in the USA the word describes somebody who professionally prepares coffee beverages.
Beer   : An alcoholic drink made from yeast-fermented malt and hops.
Bitters   : A strong flavored alcoholic drink flavored with bitter herb essences
Boiler   : the part of the espresso machine that heats the water
Bourbon   : A whiskey made primarily from corn, sometimes containing wheat, rye or barley
Black Eye   : a cup of coffee with two shots of espresso added to it.
Black Tea A tea produced with fermented leaves of the Camellia Sinesnsis plant
Blade Grinder   : a grinder that uses a high spinning blade to grind the product
Brandy   : a spirit produced by distilling wine
Burr Grinder   : a grinder that uses burrs to grind the product instead of blades
Café au lait   : French for coffee and milk, a beverage produced by mixing equal parts brewed coffee and steamed milk
Caffè Americano   : Equal parts espresso and hot water
Caffè latte   : A shot of espresso with plenty of steamed milk
Cappuccino   : A beverage consisting of equal parts espresso, steamed milk and milk foam
Chaser   : A beverage consumed right after taking a shot
Cocktail   : A mixed drink produced with spirits and one or more other ingredient
Coda Di Topo &nbsp : Italian for mouse tail, it refers to the appearance of the stream of coffee leaving the espresso machine when a proper shot is being poured
Coffee   : a seed used to prepare many popular beverages and pastries
Coffee Machine   : a device used to prepare coffee beverages
Cognac   : a brandy produced in the Cognac region of France
Cooler   : a beverage produced by combining wine and fruit juces
Crema   : the blond frothy part of a shot of espresso. Good crema is one of the signs of a good shot.
Demitasse   : French for half cup, a small mug in which espresso is served
Dispersion Screen   : the part of a coffee or tea machine designed to ensure that water is distributed evenly over the product
Distillation   : a process in which a liquid is heated and the vapors are collected and condensed
Doppio   : in coffee preparation it refers to two shots of espresso
Drip Tray   : a component of beverage machines that catches spills
Earl Grey   : an English black tea flavored with oil extracted from the bergamot orange
Eggnog   : a beverage made out of dairy, beaten eggs, liquor, and sugar
Espresso   : A very concentrated coffee of Italian origin often used as a component of other beverages
Extraction   : the transfer of the flavor and aroma of a solid into water
Filter Basket   : the part of an espresso machine that holds the coffee during brewing
Gin   : a spirit produced from Juniper berries
Green Tea   : A term for unfermented leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant
Grouphead   : The part of the espresso machine that holds the portafilter
Herbal tea   : A tea produced by plants other then Camellia Sinensis
Hibiscus   : A tropical flowering plant, the flours are often used to make tisanes and have a cranberry flavor
Hopper   : The part of a coffee grinder that stores the whole coffee beans
Iced Coffee   : a cold variation of brewed coffee
Knockbox & nbsp: : A box where spent espresso pucks are disposed of
Kukicha   : A tea produced with the stems, and twigs of the Camellia Sinensis plant
Lemonade a beverage produced from lemon juce, water and sugar
Lungo   : a shot of espresso that is poured long and has too much water
Macchiato   : In culinary terms, it refers to a beverage produced by staining a shot of espresso with a small amount of steamed milk
Microfoam   : An ideal foam produced using the steam wand of an espresso machine, for it to be considered microfoam it must have a shiny silk like appearance and have no visible bubbles
Misto   : literally translates as mixed, it is a mixture of equal parts brewed coffee and steamed milk
Mocha   : a beverage produced by mixing chocolate, milk, and espresso together
Moka Pot   : a kind of stove top coffee maker that produces strong espresso like coffee
Percolator   : A coffee pot that uses steam pressure to continuously cycle water over the coffee during the brewing process
Portafilter   : The part of an espresso machine that holds the filter basket in place during brewing
Red Eye   : a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso added
Red Tea & nbsp; : also called Rooibos, a tea produced from the Aspalathus linearis plant
Ristretto Shot   : an espresso shot that is pulled short, or has less water in it
Rooibos   : Commonly called Red Tea, it is a South African shrub that is used as a caffeine free alternative to coffee or tea
Semi Automatic Espresso Machine   : An espresso machine that has a pump and automated boiler controls but must be started and stopped manually
Super Automatic Espresso Machine   : an espresso machine that grinds, doses, tamps, and brews the coffee automatically
Tea   : A beverage produced by infusing leaves of Camellia Sinesnsis in hot water
Tisane   : A tea produced from plants other then the Camellia Sinensis plant
Virgin   : refers to a beverage that does not contain alcohol
White Tea   : young leaves and buds of the Camellia Sinensis plant
Yerba Mate   : A tea made out of the Ilex paraguariensis plant.
